Jellinbah Resources 2008-09 vacation work

Jellinbah Resources, the inspiration behind the 'Confessions of a Vac Work Student: The Bubbles Incident' You Tube video, is taking vac work applications until Friday 21 November 2008.

Jellinbah has two vacation work places in mining and metallurgical engineering for the summer. http://www.jellinbah.com.au/.

Here is the info from Jellinbah:
Mining Operations (truck operations)
Preferably a mining engineering student. Their experience can be logged towards Statutory Qualifications. Working arrangements are 12 hour shifts Monday to Thursday rotating day/night on a weekly basis. Applications are open to all year levels of students.

Minerals Process Engineering
3rd or 4th year Metallurgical engineering student required. The student should be able to participate in some efficiency improvement schemes at the mine's contract Coal Preparation Plant. This is a good opportunity for a student looking for a final year project.Working arrangements – Monday to Thursday day shift, working every 3rd Friday. 12 hour shifts.

For both positions, Jellinbah will provide accommodation and transport to and from work. As the mine shuts down 20th December to 4th January, two return tickets will be supplied (Brisbane to Blackwater).

Applications due Friday 21 November 2008. Please send to Sue Olive solive@jellinbah.com.au. Applications should include details of any previous work experience (and supporting referees), academic records and extracurricular activities. (My additional advice - do some research on the company!)

If the student does not have Australian citizenship, include any details on visas enabling them to work.

Good luck!
